FU mediafire... blog death

it seems that mediafire is pulling the banhammer hard, and my account has been suspended...

in lieu of re-uploading everything, if you'd like a d/l from a certain post, contact me by email and i'll send you links via request.

thanks for the support!

Mediafire is on a murderous psychotic rampage. f 'em, indeed. I am so sorry!!!!! Don't they realize they're thieving *your* files?

they're just acting as an arm of the RIAA/MPAA at this point...

i got a warning a few months ago that the Shits And Giggles link was in violation of Disney copyright...

?!? i'm sure Ariel Pink would get a kick outta that one.

i figured it would eventually happen... from now on, more secure links via a different filelocker that won't cave to Hollywood pressure.

fuck mediafire.

Mediafire killed THREE of my accounts within the past few months. They suck. They must be getting lots of pressure from the RIAA. Wusses.

Mediafire has also stopped hosting password protected files, unless you pay an additional charge. Rapidshare is now effectively destroying their service by limiting the amount of data that can be downloaded from a given poster.

Zippyshare is OK, but I've noticed their files don't last very long. 4shared, Depositfiles, Rapidgator & Uploaded are good alternatives. 4shared in particular seems to last a long time and they don't seem to cull through their own files to eliminate content.

@sunday & Max... i've been using zippyshare to upload requests via email. they're okay, but mediafire really was the best. rapidshare throttles downloads for non-paying members now, so i wouldn't even bother with them.

i've thought about using depositfiles, but honestly, it's such a pain in the ass to upload stuff, esp. after having all my past uploads on mediafire deleted.

i'm suprised that google/blogger hasn't killed this blog yet. the only reason i've even bothered keeping this thing up is because i'm actually kinda proud of what i did with it. i had bigger plans for uploads of really hard to find films in the can, but mediafire killing all my files kinda put the kibosh on that.

c'est la vie.
